A night view of central Hong Kong Island. In the centre the Bank of China Tower, the 70-storey building is one of the tallest buildings in Hong Kong. It was completed in 1990, designed by a Chinese American architect, I M Pei, the design was sometime polemic in Hong Kong; locals say it clearly violates the principles of Fung Shui, the triangular shapes, the cutting edges and the huge crosses suggest negativity. There is a public viewing gallery on the 47th floor.
